My husband and I and our 3 children

moved here in 1997.  We are located

in the heartland of South Dakota.  This

is a three generation farm first owned

by my grandparents, Carl and Ethel

Larson—and then by my folks, Ted

Stanga and Elaine Larson, and now it is

ours.

In 2004, we built a new barn and started

filling it with animals. We acquired our

first goats and decided to call our herd

“Carl B’s” because when Grandpa

immigrated here from Sweden, there

were too many Carl Larsons in this area

and so they referred to him as “Carl B.” by his middle initial.  We have been told by many an old-time, “Oh, you live on Carl B’s old place.”  Now we have a small herd of registered dairy goats: American Alpine and Nigerian Dwarfs.  We also have three miniature donkeys; Jack, John and Patty, ducks, chickens, cats, and a wonderful dog named Sherlock!

We love being on our acreage and the work involved with it.  We also enjoy using fresh farm products such as eggs and raw goat milk.  The milk is delicious and so good for us!  Making homemade soap and goat milk soap has always been something I’ve wanted to do, and we are proud to be able to offer them through Carl B’s Naturals.  Being able to have and care for our animals has surely been a blessing to us, and we continue to marvel at and be thankful for all of God’s creations!
