Nike Mercurial Vapor IX is Nikes new super boot and the American brand build upon the enormously successful Vapor VIII, which was the boot that really asserted Nike as front runners on the market.
Vapor IX is made with an upper of Teijin OLM 12, that gives a fantastic and precise touch on the ball. The upper has been equipped with the brand new Speed Control-technology, which is the biggest piece of innovation on the new Vapor IX. Speed Control works like a golf ball texture and gives added grip on the ball. Furthermore the front-foot material has been incorporated with a special technology, that makes it almost sticky, which helps you control the ball, even when doing so at extremely high speed.
On top of that, the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX has been equipped with the revolutionising All Conditions Control-technology, that ensures you have the same ball grip in wet weather, as you would otherwise have in dry conditions. This way you can trust your boots to consistently serve you well, in all conditions.
The sole is made with two layers of fibreglass, which makes it a flexible, springy and stable soleplate. At the same time, the fibreglass makes sure the weight is kept at an absolute minimum, making sure you are not weighed down at all. The stud-configuration is designed with stand-alone studs, that quickly and easily penetrate the ground, as well as the placement of these studs makes for optimal and lightning quick acceleration.
Weight: 185 gram
With FG studs for firm ground surfaces such as grass.
If you had to name the greatest thing about Argentina, what would it be????
Youve certainly got a lot of choice. The Andes mountains, Ladislao Biro inventor of the ball point pen, gauchos, writer Jorge Luis Borges, the tango, Eva Peron, rugby player Hugo Porta and Maradona to name but a few.
However, in current football terms, if you were asked the same question, chances are many of you would plump for Lionel Messi.
We would too, which is handy seeing as we are giving you a chance to win a pair of signed Lionel Messi football boots.
Weve got a pair of the Argentine internationals Adidas F50s, signed by the young superstar and ready to go to a new home.
