After a series of tease videos hinted at things to come, adidas today revealed limited edition reflective versions of its four soccer cleat silos. The new Enlightened Pack will be worn by select adidas players in UEFA Champions League matches today and tomorrow (October 22/23).

Including Predator LZ, F50 adizero, Nitrocharge 1.0 and adiPure 11Pro, The Enlightened Pack harnesses reflective exposure innovation on the adidas three stripes and laces. The reflective elements rebound light from floodlights and cameras to create an impressive visual display.

Each adidas cleat in the Enlightened Pack is black-out with the exception of the reflective exposure elements. And even when the lights aren't shining, the tonal grey look of the three stripes and laces add up to a simple but powerful design.

adidas loves to use the spotlight of Europe¡¯s top tournament, the UEFA Champions League, to highlight new releases and the Enlightened Pack is no exception. Barcleona's Lionel Messi, Daniel Alves, and Xavi Hernandez, Arsenal's Mesut Ozil, Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben and Philipp Lahm and Manchester United's Robin Van Persie are all set to wear the new cleats this week.

Befitting a global superstar, Messi gets special treatment. Rather than wear the black version, the 4-time FIFA Ballon d'Or Winner will be sporting a special custom pair of his signature F50 adizero featuring the Enlightened reflective stripes and laces.

The new cleats were spotted at FC Barcelona and Real Madrid training sessions last week.

This is not the first time reflective technology has been used in sports. In 2012 adidas showcased the adizero Smoke ¡°Spotlight¡± football cleats for Nebraska and Wisconsin college football teams.
